Butte County

Butte County, located approximately 90 miles north east of Sacramento, offers an abundance of backdrops for the film and commercial production industry - from Sherwood Forest to the African Savannah, from western landscapes to mid-western towns, from an ivy league university town to rustic agricultural settings. From tree-lined streets to pine forests. You can capture all four seasons in Butte County. Summers are hot and dry from May through October, though Paradise remains much cooler due to the higher elevation and protection of the pines. The winters are cold and relatively wet with Paradise and northeastern Butte County often getting snow. The temperatures are mild during the fall and spring and the colors are brilliant as the leaves begin to turn in November and the orchards and wildflowers begin to blossom in mid-February.
