Presidio Trust

The Presidio is one of America’s most unique and visited national park sites, located at the center of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Spanning 1,500 acres adjacent to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, its rare natural habits, inspiring views, and world-class trails are a global attraction yet a bus ride away for millions of people – all available with no entrance fee. Despite its urban location, it’s among the most biologically diverse national park sites in America. Its layered past as a home to native peoples and a military post under three flags has resulted in a setting that’s much like a small town, with historic buildings reinvented as public museums, restaurants, hotels, gyms, as well as homes and offices. The Presidio Trust issues permits for film projects on the Presidio's interior lands. Please note that requesting a Special Use Permit requires a minimum of 10 working-days notice (in writing).
