San Fernando is a city located in the San Fernando Valley, in the northwestern region of Los Angeles County. In 1874, San Fernando became the valley's first organized community, thus earning the title "First City of the Valley". San Fernando proudly offers accessible city services, a responsive city government, low business taxes and a range of programs for all ages. San Fernando has a rich cultural history with a population of 25,145. San Fernando is completely surrounded by the city of Los Angeles, with the districts of Sylmar to the north, Lake View Terrace to the east, Pacoima to the south, and Mission Hills to the west.
