Arvin is an agricultural town with a population of 10,573 located southeast of Bakersfield at the base of the Tehachapi Mountains. It is surrounded by vast agricultural fields, vineyards and orchards. There are many packing sheds and older one-story structures in downtown; facade and landscape revitalization program in progress. Spectacular spring wildflower displays.
