Site Condition: Southern California Railway Museum (SCRM) is one of the premier Photo and Film locations in Southern California. Although it’s outside the LA zone, it offers a unique view into transportation from yesteryear. While the collection focuses on the Southern California region most of the rolling stock can be shot or filmed in a way that can represent rail transportation from anywhere in the world. We have 110 acres of property and over 2 miles of track that extend through a variety of settings - from loading/boarding platforms, city and residential areas, to deserted or rural settings. SCRM’s various locations can match eras spanning from the late 1800’s through the modern era. SCRM has hosted numerous film, television, and photoshoots over the years and enjoys working with clients to help bring their vision to life. In some cases we can also provide equipment off-site at the users expense.

Many pieces are fully operational and mobile, while others can be repositioned or staged as static set dressing. Select rolling stock may be transported offsite for filming, subject to availability and at the producer’s expense.
