Golden Oak Ranch - Business District
United States / Newhall, California
Location ID: #10061402
The Business District at the Ranch was entirely built with filmmakers in mind. The 42 storefront back lot can represent almost any big city or small town in America and is built of non-combustible materials. The buildings’ roofs were designed to have straight running horizontal lines so that creating a CGI background would be simpler and more realistic looking, and the streets were designed so that if you’re filming one block with one look, the other block with a different look can remain out of sight. Also features a subway entrance area that can hold up to 20 actors underground.
Movie ranch with over 800 acres of land. It includes the following standing sets: bridge, wildlife, barn, lakes, ponds, waterfall, farmhouse, park, hotel. There are surrounding woodlands with old growth, oak, evergreen, and deciduous trees. There are abandoned wood buildings and ruins, a covered wood bridge for vehicle traffic, open terrain with hills, meadows, and grasslands. There are lakeside chalet cabins with ceiling height of 8'-10', wood floors, unfinished walls, porch and surrounding vegetation.
