Location Details

Noyo Headlands Park

United States / Fort Bragg, California
Location ID: #10122173

Completed in 2015, this coastal city park has been converted from a former lumber mill site with a decommissioned private airstrip. The main trail and bike path, aka Ka Kahlel Trail, offers beautiful scenery with grassy landscapes and plentiful views of the ocean. Birds, ground squirrels, and other small wildlife make their home on the headlands there. There's a couple of small accessible beaches, including the well-known Glass Beach. Works of local artists can be seen in the form of colorful murals and uniquely designed benches (see the provided images for reference).

The headlands has three restroom facilities (with murals) and two large parking lots. The Noyo Center's visitor center is located halfway up the trail from the southern lot.
