Location Details

Otis R Johnson Wilderness Park

United States / Fort Bragg, California
Location ID: #10122689

A 7-acre city park consist of a redwood grove nestle in two intersecting gullies and creeks. It sits between the borders of a residential neighborhood and a nearby middle school. The main trail weaves along hillsides, along the creeks, and up/down staircases where they branch off into informal trails. There are a couple of overlooks with a open view of an estuary along Pudding Creek. One informal trail was found to lead to a stretch of old fashioned railroad tracks that is still operational. The trail is steep and isn't reccomended as a sole access point.
