CHO CHO SAN JAPANESE RESTAURANT

United States / Thousand Oaks, California
Location ID: #10132474

One of a kind Teppanyaki and Sushi Restaurant in the Conejo Valley. It is a staple in the Thousand Oaks area and is the oldest Japanese restaurant in the Conejo Valley. Situated around the surrounding areas of Westlake Village, North Ranch, Lake Sherwood and Hidden Valley this Japanese restaurant could be perfect for filming your next movie, commercial or show. The restaurant is originally owned and operated by the same family since the beginning. The interior features a large teppanyaki dining room on one side and the other a dining area which includes a large rectangular shaped sushi bar with an adjacent dining area large enough for several large parties. Between the two rooms there is a full-service bar with all of your favorite drinks and alcoholic beverages. The waiting area is surrounded by Japanese antiques such as Samurai outfits(yoroi), Japanese masks and miniature buddha statues and other Japanese motifs. The interior's design features imported marble, granite and slate from India, Japan and other parts of East Asia. There are many original works of artisan craftsmanship from Japan throughout the restaurant in both sides of the dining areas as well as other areas of the restaurant. Colors are mostly earth-tones with touches of others to enhance the flavor of the restaurant. The parking lot features parking for roughly 60 cars as well as handicap parking at the front of the building. Large vehicles of any shape and size are accommodable and the parking lot is a huge plus for those wanting full access to their vehicles close by. Also street parking is available on the back street and the front which also can be utilized if needed. The building is of Japanese architecture and has imported roof tiles and other materials from Japan. The landscaping is carefully appointed by Japanese trees and design and the glass enclosure which makes up over 90% of the front of the building has Japanese etching in Kanji. The walkway to the front of the building features a bridge you will cross to arrive at the entrance which features full-scale elaborate Samurai outfits (Yorois) which will encounter you front, left and right as you walk in - a true experience.
