Location Details

Inn at Newport Ranch

United States / Fort Bragg, California
Location ID: #10133188

The newly completed Inn at Newport Ranch is located on a 2,000 acre working coastal ranch four hours north of San Francisco. The landscape is breathtaking with over 1 ½ miles of ocean frontage and 20 miles of trails through the coastal prairie and redwood forests. There are 50 mile panoramic views of the rugged Mendocino coast, dramatic rock formations and crashing surf. One can spend hours just staring at the ever changing natural beauty of this special place.

The architecture of the Inn buildings is unique and the accommodations luxurious but homey. Redwood slabs, some five feet wide and three inches thick were used for flooring and some walls. Rocks weighing a ton or more are incorporated into the fireplaces. You can actually walk through and sit in one of them.

The Redwood House, with three suites, a conference room and spa is held up by 24 redwood tree trunks up to 30 feet tall and 30 inches in diameter. Much of the furniture was created from burls, unique slabs and tree roots. The use of large glass windows helps bring the outside inside.

The ranch is privately owned so you have complete privacy and the only noise is produced by Mother Nature. The landscape provides a variety of film settings. The owners are eager to work with you to create the perfect setting for you, whether it is by the ocean, cattle, trails, redwoods or the unique buildings.
