Completely wide open spaces define what was once the town of Waldo Junction. It is dotted with oak trees and serves as cattle land, and a place to explore on the way to Camp Far West. It is located on Dry Creek 9.5 miles northeast of Wheatland. Originally called Cabbage Patch in 1852, the name changed to Waldo upon the opening of the post office in 1898.
