Slice of Nowhere
United States / Palmdale, California
Location ID: #10203883
This 2.67 Acres of famously gorgeous Mojave desert is available for shooting. It is directly across the street from the Carl O' Gerhardy Wildlife Sanctuary which is 527 acres of pure dirt road desert wilderness. During the winter you can see icy mountain peaks popping up from behind the joshua trees. There are no structures around for miles, so it is very much give a stranded in the middle of nowhere vibe. Perfect place to shoot a scene of someone dumping a body or getting stranded, while still conveniently located in LA county. Property is located approximately 600 feet down a very well maintained dirt road that my ford fiesta can get down no problem. Property looks just as the pictures show currently, but is being seeded with native plants periodically to give a more lush desert feel and help regenerate the local environment. Rental includes one production tent and one small gas generator and one porta potty standard size. Make sure to bring lots of water and make sure your headlights are working it can get dark. This is a raw patch of desert that does not currently have a parking lot so please only use skeleton crew. You can park on the side of the road dirt road if you have a regular car. If you have 4 wheel drive you can park in the dirt across from the property.
