Eagle Mountain Mine and Plant
United States / Eagle Mountain, California
Location ID: #10243041
An incredible, apocalyptic landscape of giant concrete building shells, huge open pits, indescribable mega-structures and dark, jagged desert mountains, this one-of-a-kind location has seen many feature films, vehicle commercials and fashion shoots come and go. Started in the 1940's to mine iron for Kaiser Steel, this site has it's own abandoned town next to it that used to house around 4,000 people in it's heyday. One of the many things that makes this spot so attractive to productions is that destructive pyrotechnics is allowed... you can see the explosion-caused blast holes in the structures everywhere you look.
