Location Details

Randsburg - Old West Town

United States / Randsburg, California
Location ID: #10243121

Anything but a ghost town, this small, bustling mining town was founded in the late 1800's to serve the various surrounding gold mines... especially the huge Yellow Aster Mine above it. Some of the mines are still active and can be seen on the surrounding hills and vistas. Many of it's buildings and interiors go back to those times, and it has lots of parking for large productions.

The old mining town of Randsburg still stands in an act of defiance against economic ebbs and flows. Erected to support the many gold mines surrounding it, Randsburg's buildings are almost all original, including a few going back to the late 1800's. With it's surrounding desert hills and incredible views, this is one of the best old west towns still standing in Southern California.
