Location Details

Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve (SNR)

United States / Guerneville, California
Location ID: #1821

The reserve includes a visitor center, large outdoor amphitheater, and self-guided trails all surrounded by the tallest living thing on earth. The majestic redwood sequoias live to be 500-1000 years old, grow to 12-16 feet in diameter and stand 200-250 feet tall. Nestled in the heart of the Armstrong Woods, a small, paved pathway curves through the park, bordered on all sides by the dense shade of redwoods and lush green foliage. Hilly at points and with curvy paths at times as well. Visitation is generally high from Spring to Fall (March-October), on major holidays year-round, and busiest peak hours are from 10am - 2pm.
