Riverbank - The Original Bank of Italy

United States / Vallejo, California
Location ID: #5102

Riverbank is a beautiful, 1923 Beaux Arts Bank of Italy building that is rich in architectural details. Main lobby is 50 ft. x 85 ft. and has 30 ft. high walls and a glass ceiling. Floor is marble with carpet bordering. - A massive circular vault door, approximately 6.5 ft. in diameter, is at the back of the main lobby. - Currently the teller stations are still in the main lobby. - There are two mezzanines, one in the front of the lobby and one in the back. The front mezzanine is divided into three spaces. Each has large steel sash windows. Two have mahogany wainscoting. - We own the 50 ft. x 130 ft. lot next to the bank. There is also an alley and public parking lot behind the building. - Rear of the building offers more of an industrial look. In the past, the Bank has been used for film as a bank, both vintage and more contemporary. However, with it's rich architectural details, it also offers the opportunity to be staged in many other ways: a grand ballroom, a restaurant, a nightclub, a library, or a courthouse. Teller windows, cages and vault.
