The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts is the Southland's premier performing arts and conference facility presenting world-class performances, and facility rental events. The CCPA features a flexible theater capable of six different seating and stage configurations ranging from 900 to 1,800 seats. Exterior design features include Mediterranean ceramic tile roof; polished Italian marble; and French limestone. A Garden Court and a Fountain Court accent the east and west entries to the building. A spiral staircase of concrete and etched glass accents the Grand Lobby along with polished copper torchieres; perforated metal; glass elevators; 20 foot mirrors and exposed concrete board form columns. A fireplace with polished limestone facade adds to the ambiance of the space. A skylight allows the sun to reflect through a beautiful glass sculpture that creates patterns on the Grand Lobby's limestone floor. Black and white tiles, reminiscent of the 1930's, adorn the walls of the public restrooms. Inside the theater, richly finished ash and cherry wood accent the luxurious European-style box seating along with polished copper railings. Custom designed seat covers add to the festive nature of the space. The 5,200-square-foot Sierra Room is an ideal setting for meetings, banquets, and special events. The Sierra Room also can serve as a staging area for extras, craft services or wrap parties. The walls are finished in white ash wood. Operable walls that divide the space and high ceilings contribute to the flexibility of the space. A hidden retractable seating unit or cabaret seating can also be arranged for smaller performances. The 850-square-foot Mojave Room features a polished Italian granite table and is suited for smaller board meetings and intimate receptions.
