Description:Thirteen hundred acres of the runways, hangars and buildings of the former El Toro Marine Corp Air Station will eventually be converted into the Orange County Great Park. Twenty five acres of the new park has already been created and opened to the public. This scenic park and event space features a free tethered helium balloon ride (ascends to 400 feet) and also boasts promenades and plazas as well as the historic aircraft hangar #244 which is also available.
