Description:The Cerritos Senior Center at Pat Nixon Park features early 1900’s Craftsman-style architecture with wood trellises and framework around the windows and doors, along with a natural river rock façade. Outdoor amenities include a patio, barbecue area, pond, footbridge and beautifully landscaped park. Inside, a reception desk and open space with lounge chairs offer visitors a place to relax. A saltwater aquarium adds to the serene nature of the space. Display cases with local history and Pat Nixon memorabilia flank both sides of the main hallway along the way to the activity rooms. The 5,000-square-foot Majestic Room features a catering kitchen, fixed stage and operable walls that can divide the space into smaller sections. In the largest configuration, the Majestic Room can accommodate up to 200 people for a banquet. A second lounge outside the Majestic Room features a cozy fireplace and a beamed ceiling. The Senior Center also has a well-equipped, 5,000-square-foot Fitness Center. Materials: Beam, Stone, River Rock.
