Description:588 acre ranch found in Santa Monica Mountains in the center of the Malibu Creek Watershed. Contains an old Chumash settlement and other historical, archeological, and cultural infrastructure. It is a hub for animal and plant diversity: coast life oak, costal sage, etc. Activities "inclue walking, bicycling, photography and picnicking." Scenary includes secluded mountain lake, oak groves, orchads, courtyards, secluded cabins and lodges,open meadows, panoramic views, forested canyon. She will direct your inquiry to the correct agency depending on the filming area requested. <<<<<< King Gillette Ranch is owned and managed by the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority in cooperation with the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area unit of the National Park Service, the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, and California State Parks. The National Park Service only oversees the Visitor Center area and the Visitor Center parking lot.
