The lot hosts the First Friday on Abbot Kinney gourmet-food-truck-fest every month. The Kogi BBQ truck debuted here, spawning the gourmet food truck movement as featured in the movie Chef (also filmed here!) starring Jon Favreau and Scarlett Johansson. GQ Magazine's Abbot Kinney event used the lot for their GQHQ at The Brig.
