Description:The historic Camden House and orchards where famous gold miner Charles Camden established a successful mining and sawmill operation. Built in 1852. 40° 39.874' N, 122° 38.196' W. Marker is in Whiskeytown, California, in Shasta County. Marker can be reached from State Highway 299. Click for map. Site Condition:Tours given by Ranger. Private road adjacent to additional Farm House and Barn attached on Property Footbridge attached to trail and parking Lot. HWY 299 is noise close by. Find Property at Intersection of "Whiskeytown- Shasta-Trinity-NRA and Hwy 299 - approx 7.5 miles west of Visitors Center of Whiskeytown.
