Description:Carrizo Plain National Monument was established as a National Monument to protect the ecosystem, threatened/endangered/special status animal and plant species, and cultural and archaeological resources, as such filming is limited as we strive to protect all the natural resources in accordance with our monument proclamation. Over 200,000 acres of public land lush with wildflowers and sprawling meadows. Area is popular for wildlife as well.
