Description:The Sierra Railroad Company has extensive experience with film productions. Our company has hosted over 300 movies, television shows and commercials since 1916. We own the line, and operate both, freight and passenger service, between Riverbank and Sonora, CA. This offers a tremendous variety of locations as our 54-mile line winds its way from the central valley to the historic Gold Country. We work closely with Railtown 1897, offering historic facilities, locomotives and passenger cars. Sierra Northern has several transloading locations serving the Sacramento and Modesto regions in Northern California. Our rail experts can also help you identify and secure rail accessible properties and warehouses along our rail network.
Site Condition:Sierra Northern operates over 100 miles of track in Mendocino county, Tuloumne and Stanislaus counties, and Yolo County. Sierra Northern provides rail shipping to all of California through interchanges BNSF and UP.
