Description:A california historical landmark associated with the Pomo Native American Indian legend. Frog Woman Rock is a distinctive volcanic monolith in the Russian River canyon through the California Coast Ranges. The California Historical Landmark,[1] adjacent to US Route 101, is a popular recreation site for rock-climbing and whitewater kayaking.
Site Condition:Recognized as a historical landmark by the California Office of Historic Preservation. It is located six miles south of Hopland along Highway 101 and the Russian River. There are access paths to a few unnamed beaches in proximity to the landmark.
