Description:Elk, where the forest and meadows meet the sea. A small seaside town perched upon the bluffs of the Mendocino coastline. Situated along Highway 1, the area offers plenty of ocean views with several scenic rock formations off shore. The town's features a number of historic buildings along with several beautifully-built bed & breakfast inns, a couple of churches, a grocery store, a full-service garage, vistor center, community center, volunteer fire department, pastures, an open sports field, and a state beach. Farther inland are more residences, some vineyards, and an apple orchard.
Site Condition:A red-colored closed/abandoned building with a porch is observed right of the Elk Grocery Store. Little information exists, as of this time, regarding its original use.
