Description:The Whittier Museum is located in the heart of Uptown Whittier where many movies are continuously filmed. The Whittier Museum is a late 1940s two story building (with open roof access) first built as a telephone company for the city of Whittier. We are a registered 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization run by the Whittier Historical Society. We are not owned or managed by the City of Whittier or any of its representatives. The lower level consists of life size recreations of historic Whittier from the early 1900s towards the present day. The second level includes a temporary exhibit space that is often rented for private banquets, being able to hold at most 130 people.
General Notes:7/28/2022 jj
Usage Restriction:Filming on all exteriors of the building is possible and inside filming is restricted due to permanent exhibits. Our Archival Room offers a genuine library atmosphere and the second level is able to be adapted for multiple purposes.
