Description:As you approach New Bullards Bar Reservoir from Marysville Road the first thing that pops out is the 645 ft Bullards Bar Dam. Campers, Anglers, and Boaters love this houseboat-laden man-made lake for its size, channels, and vistas. New Bullards Bar Reservoir also has two boat-in campgrounds - Garden Point and Madrone Cove. New Bullards Bar Reservoir, which is located about 45 minutes outside the City of Marysville on Marysville Rd., has 55 miles of shoreline with more than 20 miles of trails, most of which are located in the Plumas and Tahoe national forests. A rather shallow lake, New Bullards Bar is known for warmer water and for its great fishing.
