Description:The vertical end posts on Blackford Road Bridge, and the fact that this bridge is a pin-connected Pennsylvania through truss, make this bridge both rare, and completely unique in California. This bridge was built in 1916 and moved to it's current location in 1967. There has been mention of another similar bridge in California, but may have been the very same bridge (circa 1940). Water flows under the bridge feeding the Bear River, over the Bear River Camp Farwest Wier, and looking out to Camp Far West Reservoir.
