Description:With the largest body of fresh water in the Greater Palm Springs area, this Riverside County regional park offers areas of lawn, palms, rocks, camping, a childrens playground and equestrian open space. Next to it are the rugged Santa Rosa Mountains on federal land that shows the waterline of ancient Lake Cahuilla, that once covered much of the Coachella Valley, dwarfing even the huge Salton Sea.
