Description:184 acres of prime pine and deciduous forest, the Idyllwild Nature Center also has outcrops of large granite boulders that look out over vistas of green forests and some of the tallest mountains in Southern California. Productions, including feature films and fashion photo shoots, have used this land because of its accessibility, varied types of terrain, film friendliness, on-site restrooms and large parking / staging areas. It's also handy whenever federal or state forests are difficult to get permitted... being a Riverside County Forest it is usually open to relatively easy permitting.
