Description:Nestled in the rolling vineyards of Napa’s Carneros region, di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art is one of the Bay Area’s most distinctive and unique art destinations. Home to the foremost collection of Northern California art in the world, our story began in 1997, when visionary collectors Rene and Veronica di Rosa opened their private collection to the public. Today, the collection holds more than 1,600 works by iconic and influential artists including Robert Arneson, Joan Brown, Jay DeFeo, Roy De Forest, and William T. Wiley, alongside the work of vital contemporary voices shaping the region’s cultural landscape. At our 217-acre Napa campus, visitors explore our art museum, grounds featuring nearly 80 outdoor sculptures, a serene lake, vineyard-lined trails, and picnic areas alive with wildlife. Our di Rosa San Francisco gallery at Minnesota Street Project offers an intimate, focused encounter with the collection and rotating contemporary exhibitions and bringing di Rosa’s vision into the heart of the city. Exhibitions rotate throughout the year, complemented by programs that invite deeper engagement: artist talks, guided hikes, children’s art and nature camps, and live performances. Every visit, whether in Napa or San Francisco, is an opportunity to slow down, look closely, and connect with art, place, and community. What began as a personal passion has grown into an essential destination for art and nature lovers, right in Napa and Sonoma’s backyard, and now, just steps from the streets of San Francisco. Land Acknowledgement di Rosa is located on the traditional lands of the Patwin, Wappo, and Coast Miwok Peoples and we pay our respects to their elders both past and present.
