Description:Apollo Community Regional Park, named in honor of the Apollo 11 astronauts, was dedicated in 1972 and features three man-made lakes. The 54-acre park hosts three fishing derbies every year, two for adults and one for youth, with prizes awarded for the biggest catch. Patrons can enjoy lunch under one of the many picnic shelters or just take a leisurely stroll on the walking paths around the beautiful lakes. ~ Park website
