A meandering river flows underneath with forests, woodlands, and rock outcroppings surrounding. The river features waterfalls and rapids. The forests has deciduous, evergreen and oak trees. The ownership of the bridge transferred over to the Honey Run Covered Bridge Association in 2019. After a little over six years of fundraising, the bridge is complete and open to the public.
