Description:Three museum buildings including original 2-story Italianate building between 3,000-7,000 sq. ft. and a 3-story, 125,000 sq. ft. contemporary structure designed by Gwathmey Siegel & Associated (completed in 2010). Gallery spaces include historic European paintings, Native American pottery, contemporary art, early California art, and international ceramics. Additional spaces include expansive indoor and outdoor courtyards, Museum Store, auditorium, research library, studio classrooms, and café. Exterior features include arched colonnade, 2-story windows, deciduous trees, front stairway entrance, contemporary sculptures, and wrought iron fencing. Additional building materials include wood, steel and glass.
