Description:USS IOWA - the West Coast’s only Battleship available for filming. Film on the lead ship of the last class of Battleships that includes the USS Iowa, USS New Jersey, USS Missouri, and USS Wisconsin. IOWA served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Cold War and earned 11 battle stars and numerous awards. Numerous compartments represent from 1940’s to modern day configuration, which allos the ship to play numerous roles including destroyers, cruisers, and aircraft carriers. IOWA features wood decks, large 16" guns, 5" guns, missile decks & systems, bridge, mess & sleeping areas, hospital, engine & fire rooms, laundry, brig, combat engagement center, operating machinery, galleys, and the world famous Captain’s Cabin - with the only bathtub installed on a battleship for a President. Known as “The Battleship of Presidents”, IOWA has hosted three Presidents - Franklin D. Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, and George H.W. Bush - and numerous dignitaries during almost 70 years of service. Battleship IOWA is located at the L.A. Waterfront & Port of Los Angeles, former home to the US Navy Battleship fleet prior to World War II and an area rich in maritime history.

Usage Restriction:The IOWA is open to the public as a museum attraction 7 days per week from 9am to 5pm. Closure to the public and after hours filming is available.
