Twin Oaks is a cabin on Palomar Mountain which is famous for its deck facing the Palomar Observatory. Everyone is commenting about how amazing the views are. It can sleep 6 people (with one bedroom, one loft and 2 beds in the sun room). It is surrounded by nature at the very end of a dirt road. Note that in winter, if there is snow, you likely have to walk from the main road (parking available) for 1/8 miles. All modern amenities are available even if this cabin is 103 years old!
The wood stove is a cool feature to enjoy during cold days and nights. In the cabin, you pretty much see trees all around. As it is a bit more remote than our other cabin on the same road (Cedar Crest), it is frequent to see deers and bob cats. While we have never seen them, Mountain lions are around as attested by their footprints in the snow...
