This preserve occupies a spectacular headland thrusting out into the Pacific Ocean. From a parking lot accessible from Point Cabrillo Drive and down a half-mile long access road, it takes you to a beautiful setting of historic buildings made up of three original lightkeepers’ houses, outbuildings, and the Point Cabrillo Light Station. The fully restored lighthouse is open 365 days a year from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are trails scattered across the headlands where the terrain consist of scattered trees and untouched grasslands. Open only to pedestrian use from sunrise to sunset daily.
For more information about the light house, please contact the Point Cabrillo Lightkeepers Association office at (707) 937-6123.
